Ask the KHSAA but the rule is if in they have to do mandatory water breaks in Varsity the game switches to 20 minute quarters. Whether this is realized at halftime or before the game the entire game must be played this way. So since they switch kicks and halves at half time the same applies for all 4 or in this case 3 periods. It is strange, but those are the rules.
