What does Pikeville need to do to improve in 2014? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Pikeville should be a major factor in the East in 1A once again this year.

 

Austin Black will be under the center as a Starter for the 3rd consecutive year and the Panthers have one of the best overall playmakers in 1A in Cody Estep who is an absolute pleasure to watch play the game. Panthers still have to address who will be toting the rock since their entire offense is predicated on maintaining balance.

 

The Panthers were not especially good up front last year and need to improve. They received a nice shot in the arm when Pike Central's top OL/DL Bryson Patton opted to transfer.

 

The Panthers a re a legit threat to reach Bowling Green, though right now I think you have to put them slightly behind Hazard and Williamsburg in a very competitive Eastern Semi-State.
