Tonight in Alexandria the Breds let one bad inning result in a 9-4 defeat at the hand of the Camels. NewCath freshman pitcher, Haley Meyers is cruising along facing one batter over the minimum, and throwing a no-hitter through 3, before the "wheels fall of the bus" in the 4th. With the Breds up 3-0 in the bottom of 4, Campbell Co. gets 3 consecutive base hits, 3 straight walks, & an error to plate 6 runs without an out recorded. Taylor Burkart comes on and gives up a base hit, but induces 2 ground-outs and a pop-out to end the disastrous frame. Meyers returns to the circle in the 5th and gets the Camels 1,2,3. WOW..... surprised by the final. Expected the score to be the other way in favor of the more experienced and athletic Lady Breds. Rumor from some of the Camel fans, is the Lady Camels played with more intensity and made the most of a few hits, and the Lady Breds seemed to be playing flat and uninspiried??
