Big 37th district seeding win for the Mustangs in Taylor Mill. WIth the win the Mustangs deprive the Eagles from being the 37th DIstrict top seed, and put themselves in a postiion to win that distinction for themselves with a win over Campbell County on Monday. Scott had already defeated the Camels. Should Campbell County win the Brossart encounter, a coin flip will be required to determine the top three seeds.

 

Nate Verst went six complete for the Mustangs, allowing two earned runs. Connor Verst came on in the seventh with two aboard to get the save. Andrew Trame was the starter and loser for the Eagles.

 

Brossart rallied for 4 runs in both the second and fifth innings to take command of the game.

Mustang errors allowed the leadoff hitter to reach safely in four innings for the Eagles, two of which scored.
