This is not a typo. Ol' papa finally managed to drag his tired self to a game and it was a dandy. Scoreless tie until the top of the 6th when the Breds scored a runner from third on a throwing error.

 

Michael Sutton hits a 2-run 2-out double over the CF's head in the bottom of the 6th. Sutton gets the win, pitching 6 innings of 1 run (0 earned); Scilley the save with the help of a diving catch in center by Nathan Craycaft. 25 for HC takes the tough-luck loss.

 

Word from those in the know is that this was Mason County's first win over Harrison County in 11 years.

Congrats to the Royals on the win tonight. HC has now lost 4 games in a row, something that hasn't happened since at least 2001 (full season schedules on khsaa.org only go back to 2002).
