Hellbird
Final from Covington. Congrats to Cooper for getting that mo key off their back and finally beating a team in their district. First time in school history. Now let's keep it rolling.

Jimmy Olson
I would hate to be the game after that 3 1/2 hour marathon!
Hellbird
Got some sleep and ready to give some details. I will not go into the umpire problems, anyone there saw it and no need to re-hash it...yet. Boone went up 3-0 after 1 and added to the lead after 2 innings to take it to 6-1. Jags never gave up, got a couple back in the 3rd to cut the lead in half. Kept chipping away until they got the lead at 8-6. Boone fought back to tie it and then the jags again got the lead in the 6th at 9-8 only to have Boone tie it at 9 in the 7th. Both teams had their chances in extra innings, Boone stranding a coup,e runners in scoring position and Cooper after an intentional walk by Boone to load the bases with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th but couldn't get a run across. In the 10th Boone had runners at 2nd and 3rd but left them stranded. In the bottom of the 10th Cooper again loaded the bases when Alex Holland stepped to the plate with 1 out and crushed a hit into the gap at left center to end the game.
