southeast_bell
With University of Louisville assistant coach Steve Masiello watching from press row at the Cawood High School gymnasium, Middlesboro senior guard Stuart Miller demonstrated Monday in the 52nd District Tournament that his game features plenty of flash and a solid dose of fundamentals. Miller showed the long-range shooting skills in the first half that caught Louisville’s attention and helped him set the state record, hitting five of seven from long range despite having Cumberland Redskins covering him like a glove. Miller went back to the basics down the stretch as he cooled off from the outside, hitting eight of eight pressure-packed free throws in the final minute as Middlesboro rallied from a five-point deficit to edge the Redskins 62-58.
