The Birds jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first with hits from Cain, Walkenhorst and Dougherty. They dent the plate again in the 3rd on a sac fly by Dougherty after a 2 bagger by Mayhew. 3 more runs in the 4th on hits by Miller, Cain and Walkenhorst. 3 more in the 6th on a triple by Beal and rbi groundout by Ling. Hit parade was led by Cain 3-4, Walkenhorst 2-3, Dougherty 1-1, Beal 1-1. Real strong pitching outing from Ricky Raisor who went 5 strong to get the win. Trent Casebolt pitched the final frame. Game was called after 6 so that a varsity game between Scott and Holy Cross could start on time. Next up for JV Birds is a game versus Simon Kenton at Highland Park.
