Although I do not think that England is best suited to play QB, I would agree with you that it is not a two horse race. I think the important thing is that Coach Engeler will be great for all of our QB's development.

Would be interested in hearing why you think that England shouldn't play Qb after he posted the best Qbr game of the season. Not to mention his big play ability. He's 6 ft 1 205 and can throw the ball down field. Has a gun, just never had the chance to show it. In my book I put the ball in my best athletes hands. He allows you to get other kids on the field by putting him at Qb. I'd rather have him at Qb instead of a line waiting to get in the backfield or receiver. More athletes on the field is in the best interest of the team. He may not win the job but he deserves the chance like the other kids.

What I mean by that is, I think Qb's in high school run a lot. Instead of let's say He ends up a HB, Mcgregor, Jarvis, Bateman, Woolf, have less reps to share. You get guy's in the game more. Same if England was a WR. Long list of kids behind him to could impact a game if they can get in too. IMHO England is a better runner than the other two. From what I've been told he is very coach-able, great attitude and football smart. I'd Put him at QB. After last season, I was told that after a week and a half of practice he was going to be the front runner next year to win the job. We'll have to wait to see how coach Engler see's the talent and competition. I've heard nothing but great things when it comes to him developing QB's. A good athlete who can throw just has to get the mental aspect down.

Colin England is a great kid and very coachable. From seeing him play over the years, I would not think of him as a prototypical QB from a pocket perspective that the new coaches will probably implement. No disrespect to Colin. He may be able to play QB but he may have better value playing somewhere else and also being able to get a good look on both sides of the ball. I have no objection and I would trust coach Engeler on this one.

I buy in to whatever the new coach will decide. Was just monday QBing and giving my 2 cents. But I don't care how good your receiving corp is. If you have another lame duck Qb all the receivers are doing is running wind sprints. Seen guys doing jumping jacks last year they were so open and the ball being held or forced somewhere else. We have to be alot better than that. I've heard arm strenght is an issue with one and football IQ with another. So with that being said I would give the shot to Pogliano, O'hara or England.

I am sure that the new coach will be able to determine his best option pretty quickly. It is also important to understand that the passing game that was formerly implemented was very vanilla to say the least. It is a big difference to play QB in a system that is set up for success with the passing game by using shorter, more high percentage routes than what I have witnessed in the last couple of years.
