Fox Creek Christian celebrated 8 seniors playing their last home game last night, and were able to overcome some sloppy play and win the game over Holy Angels Academy from Louisville, 69-66.

Fox Creek maintained a double digit lead on and off for much of the game, but never could put it together and put the game out of reach from the visitors from Louisville. The Knights finally built a 14 point lead late in the 3rd quarter, only to relax and essentially quit playing defense, allowing HA to come back and take a one point lead, 66-65 with about .40 seconds left in the game. A basket off of an offensive rebound, followed by two late free throws, all by Sr. Dakota Sallee, augmented finally by 15 seconds of smothering defense that wouldn't allow Holy Angels a look at the basket, and Fox Creek was able to celebrate a Senior night victory.

The Knights were lead, as usual, by Dakota Sallee with 30 points, connecting on six 3 pointers. Senior Chase Sutherland chipped in with 19 and hit three 3 pointers.

Congrats to you and your team on the victory. I'm sure you are looking forward to the end of a very LONG season. I have no idea how you coach 5th/6th, 7th/8th, JV, & Varsity all by yourself??????

I have no idea either brother...smoke and mirrors is about the only explanation I can give.

I now have three age groups that want to do travel ball...5th grade, 6th grade and 7th grade. My spring will be busy as well looks like.
