1. Apollo (19-5):

The Eagles continued to show why they are the top team in the third region with an 80-71 overtime win last week against Hancock County. The Eagles improved to 9-1 in their region.

Upcoming games: vs. Madisonville North-Hopkins 2/18, vs. Daviess County 2/25 (District Tourney)

2. Owensboro (16-8):

Owensboro picked up another win last week, to inch closer to Apollo, who sits at #1. The Red Devils defeated Bowling Green 69-59 to improve to 16-8. One thing’s for sure the remaining games on the Devils schedule won’t be easy tasks.

Upcoming games: @ Hopkinsville 2/18, vs. Henderson County 2/21, vs. Owensboro Catholic 2/26 (District Tourney)

3. Owensboro Catholic (14-8):

With last week’s winter storm, the Owensboro Catholic Aces got to play just one game but it was a game that they put in the win column, as they defeated Hancock County 72-55. The last week of the regular season will be a tough one.

4. Daviess County (14-9):

Daviess County improved to 5 games above .500, with 2 wins last week, defeating McLean County 57-52 and Ohio County 63-52. Things don’t get any easier for the Panthers with their remaining schedule.

5. Ohio County (13-11):

Upcoming games: @ Owensboro Catholic 2/18

6. Hancock County (13-7):

The Hornets had a disappointing week last week losing three straight games, while winning just one. The Hornets fell to Ohio County 64-61, Apollo 80-71, Owensboro Catholic 72-55. The Hornets defeated Meade County 65-55 for their only win of the week, last week. The Hornets should fair pretty good next week.

7. McLean County (10-12):

Upcoming games: @ Edmonson County 2/17, vs. Frederick Fraize 2/18

I think its a two horse race and will give the field. Apollo - best college prospect in the region, solid point guard, shooters, and just enough rebounding, and the 3rd Region Coach of the Year. Owensboro - best bigs in the region, athletic perimeter play that when shots are falling will be an extremely hard out. I think these two teams "B game" can beat everyone else's "A game". However, that is why they play the game! Bring on March

The top 4 teams are all in 1 district? That probably doesn't happen very often around the state.
