The Lady Bearcats play their first game in over a week and pull out a nice road win against 8th region opponent Oldham County. After seeing a 16 point lead diminish by a second half Oldham comeback, the Bearcats were able to finish strong enough to get the seven point victory. Led by the defensive effort of Walton Verona's Olivia Dezern, the Bearcats limited Oldham County's leading scorer, Ashley McMurtrey to just 14 points, 10 below her game average. Oldham County's Jenna Kirk led the Lady Colonels with 16 points while, Walton Verona's Hailey Ison finished with a game high 23. The Bearcats, having won four of the last five, travel to Gallatin County on Friday for a rematch with the Wildcats.

Nice win by the Bearcats. WV was definitely had the collection of the most skilled players on the floor, but it is still a good win because of OC's size and length. Both teams seemed to have considerable trouble handling defensive pressure in the full court, especially OC. The GC/WV matchup on Friday will be a good one for sure.

Ison is definitely real good at getting to the line, and equally good at hitting them. But.......how in the world did she pull off the task of hitting more FT than her team was given credit for? LOL!

Good eye FBD...I missed that one. Somebody's math wasn't right.

Great win for the Lady Bearcats. They just keep getting better.
