1.Daviess County and Apollo both improve to 9-2

Daviess County:

The Panthers traveled to regional opponent McLean County to participate in McLean County’s holiday tournament.

 

Panthers got off to a good start winning 47-41 over Paducah Tilghman. Daviess would lose their second round game with Waggener 69-54 but they’d bounce back to defeat the host school, McLean County 47-45.

 

Daviess County would come back home to host Hancock County on December 30^tt. This game would go the Panthers way as they would roll to a 80-54 victory over Hancock County.

 

 

Apollo:

The Eagles made their way to Lexington to participate in the annual republic bank holiday classic @ Lexington Catholic.

 

The Eagles opened up with a 69-62 loss to Lexington’s own, Bryan Station…Apollo would bounce back and win their next two games defeating Harrison County 74-60 and Warren Central 57-53.

 

 

2.Butler County goes 1-2 in Campbellsville Tournament

Butler County Bears traveled to Campbellsville to participate in the Campbellsville Holiday Classic.

 

The Bears got off to a bad start losing their fist two games….72-50 to Green County and 91-81 to Taylor County…their lone win came over Campbellsville 61-58.

 

 

3.Owensboro goes 2-2 in Lake Cumberland Classic @ Pulaski County, Somerset, Southwestern

Owensboro traveled to Somerset to participate in the annual Lake Cumberland Classic held at Pulaski County High School, Somerset High School, Southwestern High School.

 

Owensboro got off to a bad start losing 86-66 to West Jessamine and losing a heart breaker to Calloway County 68-65…

 

The Red Devils would salvage this tournament by winning their next two games, defeating Prestonsburg 82-58 and Williamsburg 73-55.

 

 

4.Hancock County goes 1-2 in Our Lady of Bellfonte Holiday Classic @ Greenup County:

The Hornets made the long haul to Greenup County High School to participate in the Our Lady of Bellfonte Holiday Classic.

 

Hancock County got things started with a loss to the host team, Greenup County 68-64…They would go on to lose their second game in this classic to Frankfort 47-45 but they’d bounce back to win the final game defeating Fairview 66-41.
