In a game that featured #2 & #7 team, their would only be one winner on this night and that was Butler County as they sneaked past Ohio County 76-71 in another thriller in the 3^rd region.

 

 

3.Daviess County survives Greenwood 65-64

Daviess County, the #6 team in the 3^rd region went out of region to play the Greenwood Gators. Game would go back and forth before Daviess County would pull out the W in a nail bitter, 65-64.

 

 

4.Daviess County rolls past Meade County 76-43

There wasn’t much competition for the Panthers in this one as they would roll past Meade County 76-43.

Daviess County would also win the Farmers Bank Christmas Tournament at Breckinridge County. They defeated Grayson County 77-62, Breckinridge County 77-61 and DeSales 49-46.

Anyone agree/disagree with the rankings?

I'm not at all familiar with this region. You have Apollo at #1. How do they compare to the top 3 or 4 teams in the region? I saw them play at the Fort Harrod Classic this past week and they weren't at the level I had expected, especially for a top team out of that region. I'm not saying they weren't a good team but weren't what I expected given that ranking.

 

Is there a lot of parity in that region this year?

1. Apollo beat Butler County (@ Butler County) 88-58.....Apollo beat Daviess County (@ Apollo) 61-49

2. Owensboro was the pre-season favorite with all the talent they have but they are 4-4 including a loss to a 4-5 McLean County team.
