BigVMan23 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Fox Creek Christian raced out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back as they defeated Bourbon Christian at home 67-36. Bourbon Christian scored most of their points from the free throw line as Fox Creek continued to foul the Bourbon point guard on drives to the basket, and were blown for 13 fouls in the first half. Fox Creek was lead in scoring by Dakota Sallee with 19. Center Aaron Hopkins had 10. Blake Trimble and Chase Sutherland both chipped in with 9, with nine players total breaking the scoring column. Fox Creek will take on Louisville Adventist Academy Thursday night in a rematch from 4 weeks ago where Fox Creek had several Seniors suspended for the game due to non-attendance of church service and took a 14 point loss with the JV playing most of the minutes. Since that time, two Seniors have quit, but two others have decided to come out and play and have been added, both very solid ball players and have already helped tremendously in their first couple of games. Two football players who were not available for the first game between these two teams are now playing as well. There will be a completely different starting 5 for Fox Creek in this game and they are hoping for a very different outcome.

BigVMan23 Posted December 19, 2013 Author Posted December 19, 2013 How often does this come in to play, where you have to suspend players? Happened a hand full of times this year with a few players, but don't usually have to do it too often. I think for a couple of them it woke them up and they realized we weren't kidding. For a couple of others, they quit the team. Got to be in church to play first and foremost, and they all know that going in.
