Final from Winchester.

Great to see my friend Keaton Belcher tonight. PC came out on fire and was really hitting the 3's in the first Q. #3 hit several. Score was 19-17, GRC, at the end of 1st. Then GRC tightened up the defense and held PC to only 2 points in the 2nd Q. Halftime score was 33-19.

 

GRC started a new line up tonight. We had Blanton, J. Israel, King, Williams, and Barrett. Green and Sharrock did not start. End of 1st Q. GRC put in a complet new 5 players of, Green, Sharrock, Davis, Jones and Dunn.

 

PC has a young team and with experience will surprise some people this year, especially if they hit the 3's like they did in the 1st quarter tonight.

I really liked the ball movement and distribution by GRC tonight. Lots of good shot selection and hustle. There are some bright spots in the future for GRC.

 

I thought Pendleton had great flashes of talent. They were lights out from behind the arc in the first quarter. They will only get better this season.

Always good to see you my friend. Agree 100 on all points above. GRC has some Freshman that are really going to be good players. Any word on Riley Caudill. He was getting a MRI this week. Hate to see him not dress as he and Blanton are the only seniors we have.

Word yet, but I might be able to find out something tomorrow. GRC will certainly need him as they get into Christmas Tourny time and the heart of the Jan Schedule.

Cards recover from double OT loss with win over Pendleton County

 

 

Clark got another stellar performance from junior guard Damion King, who led four players in double figures with 16 points. King tallied 17 in the team’s previous game. King knocked down three 3-pointers and has made six treys in his last two games.

 

“Damion (on Tuesday night) was phenomenal and was as good as it gets,” Humphrey said. “It was good as I’ve had a guard play here (at Clark). He was everywhere defensively, communicating and he played a ton of minutes. He’s really embracing that leadership role. He does it silently and the kids are starting to follow him.”
