Clay was without Desmond Swafford and had struggles against the Campers.

Lynn Camp led 22-20 at the end of the first and the game was tied at 29 apiece at halftime. Lynn Camp's biggest lead in the game was seven points (29-22).

Clay led by only three with under a minute to play, but hit their free throws to pull off the win.

William Jones led the way with 32 points, while Zach Lewis had 11.

Nate Tanner led the Wildcats with 17 points.

Good effort by both teams. This was my first time watching Clay this year.

Whats your assessment of Clay after seeing them first hand? I dont mean this to start anything...... just asking for an intelligent assessment.

Sounds like LC played pretty well, and should be some confidence going into the next game against Rose Hill I believe.

My assessment would be this: Jones is a very good player from 15 feet in. Coach Gray told me he might me Clay's best play EVER from 15 feet in. To give a full asseesment wouldn't be fair to Clay because I didn't get to see Swafford play and I've been told he's a hoss. I can see Clay reaching the regional finals, but I need to see how the Tigers look with Swafford in the mix. He had the flu tonight.

Swafford definitely makes them a bunch more dangerous. He's a load down low.
