Defending State Champs jump out to a 3-0 lead (2-0 at Half), before Brossart scores.

Abby Stadtmiller scores a pair (50:20) and (58:30) to make it 3-2 and give the Lady Stangs hope, before Mallory Eubanks takes over and scores three consecutive for the Lady Commodores. Megan Dierig added another for Brossart who closes out their 17-4 season with the season-ending 6-3 loss.

 

Eubanks ends up with 4 goals and 2 assists on the night. Ashley Whaley and Joanna Gullo contribute the remaining two goals for the Creekers.

 

Previous to this game the Lady Stangs had won 9 in a row, dating back to the "A" Sectional where they were defeated by NCC 1-0 on September 18th, not allowing a goal during that span and shutting out their opponents 44-0. The Lady Stangs had only allowed a total of 9 goals on the season previous to the Tates Creek game.

 

Eubanks, a verbal to Mississippi State, is the most incredible player (boys or girls) that I have seen to date. INCREDIBLE Foot skills, who created shot after shot for herself when the Lady Stangs were threatening. Distinctly the difference in the game.

 

Tates Creek advances to play Lawrence County Saturday at LaFayette High School. They are on a collision course with Notre Dame in the semi-finals. Notre Dame defeated West Jessamine 4-0 and play the Russell/South Laurel winner Saturday as well. Tates Creek defeated the Pandas in PKs last year in the Girls' State Championship game.
