Best Kicker/Punter in Kentucky?

Featured Replies

Who you have?

Oldham County's Sean Nurenburger is committed to Ohio State.

Johnson Central's Tyler Pack has a big leg as well though.

Caldwell County's Brett Seymore kicked a 51 yard FG this week.

Impressive. Does he handle kickoff and punt duties as well?

What more can you tell us about him?

Brett Seymore is a senior kicker for Caldwell County, as well as a forward for the Tiger soccer team. He handles the kickoffs, extra points, and field goals for the Tigers. Elijah Sindelar handles the punting duties, when they are needed.

Stats for Seymore include 48 extra points and 5 field goals this year including FGs of 41,45, and 51 yards. This is his 2nd year with the football Tigers. Last year he hit the game-winning FG at Murray to top off a comeback from a 21-0 halftime deficit. That gave the Tigers the #1 seed in the district. Then, in the playoffs versus Murray again, Seymore hit a 45 yard FG to win the game AGAIN! This time 10-7.

I have heard from some of the players that Brett has been kicking 65 yd FGs in practice and been clearing the bar with distance to spare, but no pressure. I have even heard that Coach Barnes may let him try for the state record, if the right situation came about.

He is quite a nice weapon to have in the Tigers' back pocket.

Is he the same kicker his coach tried to get the record a couple weeks ago by having his player run backwards and fall down so he could try for the record?

No sir. I could not see Coach Barnes do that kind of stunt. He has done his best not to embarrass any teams, and that would be awful sportsmanship
