Series at South Warren: South Warren leads 1-0

 

Two years ago when these two met at South Warren, the Spartans used a 38-10 victory to clinch the #3 seed in the playoffs in their first year of varsity play. The next year, it sowed up the #2 seed and their first home game in the playoffs. This year, a win would clinch another home game and keep them on the road to their first district title. But more importantly, it would help them bounced back from a disappointing loss at Daviess County, which ended a 9 game regular season winning streak for the Spartans - one year to the day after their last one against Monroe County. The defense remains strong despite giving up their first TD of the year to the Panthers. They have still just allowed 11 points against 243 offensive scored.

 

Meanwhile Adair County comes in off some puzzling results. They won their first three games of the year before giving Monroe County all they wanted in a 26-19 loss. That was followed by an obliteration by ranked Russell County, but the worst result of all was a 35-6 loss to 2-4 Edmonson County. That result will inspire some desperation from Adair which is now in danger of missing the playoffs.
