Nelson nearly completed a furious last-minute comeback from two scores down, but Travon Harrison picked off his third pass of the game at the 2-yard line with 15 seconds left to seal the win for the Warriors. Harrison also recovered a fumble in the game.

Star of the game was Adrian Williams-Rolston, who ran for 388 yards and four TDs, including the eventual game-winner from 59 yards out with 2:27 left.

Jonathan Breeding had a big game for NC, but I don't have final totals on him yet.

If you are a fan of offense, going to Nelson County games must be a little like heaven.

Perhaps, but they tend to go on forever. Count on being there for 3 hours.

Breeding ran for four TDs and passed for two more. The yardage on his scoring runs was 129, and I'm guessing he had about 200 total rushing yards, unless sacks go against his rushing totals. Not sure what the HS rule is on that.

Check that — Williams-Ralston (I had it mispelled) actually had 5 TDs.
