Current Class 6A alignment ?

Featured Replies

Since the consolidation of the McCracken Co schools and there addition to 6a, what is the current district alignment? Does D1 now have 5 teams and the class have 33 teams or did someone move out of D1 and someone else drop down to 5a?

-Reidland's Class 2A-District 1 had five teams and now just has four: Ballard Memorial, Caldwell County, Crittenden County and Murray.

-Heath's Class 3A-District 1 had five teams and now has four: Fort Campbell, Paducah Tilghman, Trigg County and Webster County.

-Lone Oak's Class 4A-District 1 also had five teams and now has four: Calloway County, Hopkins County Central, Madisonville-North Hopkins and Owensboro.

I believe each district was aligned with five teams to begin with because the KHSAA new these schools would be closing.

-McCracken County is now in Class 6A-District 1 with Daviess County, Henderson County and Marshall County.

-Muhlenberg County was shifted from Class 6A-District 1 to District 2 and are now with Central Hardin and Meade County.

-Nelson County had been in Class 6A-District 2 but with their splitting into Nelson and Thomas Nelson, Nelson County dropped down to 4A.

-Class 6A-District 2 has three teams and District 6 (northern Kentucky) has five teams, so the fifth place finisher from northern Kentucky plays as the 4-seed from District 2.
