Final.

Glasgow scored twice in the first 1:15 of the fourth quarter to flip the game. It went from 22-19 Garrard to 32-22 Glasgow, and that was pretty much it. Good game to that point.

Story of two halves. Garrard went to halftime leading 16-12 and scored again midway through the third quarter to go up 22-12. But Glasgow scored on their next play and proceeded to dominate the rest of the ballgame, winning going away 46-22. The momentum for Garrard really seemed to shift away when tailback Keegan Penman left with an apparent injury. Penman had ran the ball very successfully in the first half and had a long touchdown run. When he's not in the game Garrard's offense really struggles to make big plays on the ground.

 

On the other side, I was impressed with the entire Glasgow backfield. The quarterback was a hoss who ran over a couple Garrard kids tonight. And the running backs were all strong and hit the holes well. The Scotties offensive line seemed to wear down Garrard as the game went on.

The postgame consensus was that Glasgow was the best of the four teams on the field in Danville tonight, and I think I'd second that.
