For those who read them like I do.

 

I was wondering what are somethings that make A preview great.

 

Things you consider a must in the preview.

 

 

Fire away.

I like a good preview of the team, not just the the studs, I want to hear about the defensive players, the linemen, results from last year, the coach's outlook. I want to have a good feel for what the team has after I read it. And, or course, I want a lot of pictures, I want to see the players. I don't want just another news story on a team, I want a indent look at the team.

For me a must is

Rosters, with height and weight with positions played. This must include kickers and Punters(Of every team covered in the preview)

 

I want stories with last years stats to go with the names mentioned in the story.

Quotes from players and coaches.

Pictures from a game or games played

Individual pics of players(at least starters)

Off and def the team runs.

Last five year record of each team covered in preview.

Overall record against each team on the schedule.

Schedule with game time and location.

Returning starters.

 

Bonus things (Things I have seen in some previews)

Map to schools the team covered are playing(I believe this is done yearly in the Ashtabula, Ohio paper)

Short stories on three main players from each team in preview(Again I believe the Ashtabula, Ohio does this yearly)

Where last year seniors are playing college ball.
