I'm glad the Zalla kid has had a good year. Good family.

...all good families....but I hear ya Clyde....except maybe Litzler's Dad......can be kind of a jerk but is probably the smartest person I know.....especially when it comes to all things baseball.

As you know my comment praising one family doesn't mean I think the opposite of the other families.

I am guessing Mr Litzler is a fine gentleman of leisure.

I heard Schreiver had the game-winning RBI.

Prime time player.

I heard it was Will Heppler. Anyone?

I hope I'm right or TOG is not going to be happy.

For sure!!

True Clyde but not quite the whole story.

Little big Hep did hit a double to open up the inning as it trailed away from the St. Henry left fielder, Little Big indeed hit it hard. Fischer was sent in to pinch run. Man on 2nd no outs. On a 3-0 count St. Henry then IW Pangallo to bring up David Zallar who laid down one of the best bunts I have seen in a while moving both Fischer and Pangallo to 2nd and 3rd and earning Z a base hit.

Why was the bunt so good? Well the St. Henry 1st baseman was charging the bunt and hoping I am sure to go to third for the force while the St. Henry 3rd baseman was staying put. Zalla in reading this sent a well place and nicely hit bunt that only the third baseman could field and by the time he fielded the bunt, all hands were safe.

Schreiver then came up with the bases loaded and on a 1-0 count hit a deep enough SF 9 to drive in Fischer to win the game!

Fun game to watch.......I think we had a total of 8 pitchers in the game.....if Im not wrong....
