St. X vs. Henry Clay - May 1st 7:00 p.m. (LAX)

Featured Replies

The top teams square off in what is the final regular season game for St. X and 2nd to last season game for Henry Clay. The game is May 1st at 7:00 p.m. at St. X.

St. X is undefeated in state play after beating traditional rival Trinity in the regular season. St. X went on the road to face 4 strong teams out of state. The lost to all 4 but the Tigers seem to have come back from that road trip an even better team.

Henry Clay is undefeated overall with a 9-0 record. It has set itself apart from local rivals, including Dunbar and Lexington Catholic, this year with impressive wins in each of the games.

The teams are two different leagues with the reorganization along geographic boundaries and will not face off in the playoffs. So this is it for the claim of best in the Bluegrass.

This game is highly recommended to all Kentucky lacrosse fans.

Game was cancelled according to the players. It was going to be St. X's senior night, but they moved the festivities to wednesday's game against Collegiate instead. Looks like Henry Clay pulled out not wanting to take a loss. Tigers were ready for a good matchup up, but Blue Devils apparently contacted and said it's a no go.

Sorry to hear that. It would have been a good game showcasing the top teams from each of the state's major metro areas.
