Henry Clay beats Dunbar 12 - 1. This win eliminates any doubt who the top team in Lexington and KY 2 is, if there was any. Jake Linton had 4 goals for the Blue Devils. HC has been strong all year. And this win pushes them to 2nd place in the current LAX Power Ratings for Kentucky.

HC plays at St. X on May 1st. This may be the defacto State Championship game with the split of the leagues. That game is showing as at St. X at the LAXPower site. Sounds like a good game for lacrosse fans to take in.

At Covington Catholic

LexCath beat Covington Catholic 9 - 2. This was good bounce back win for the Knights after Mondays loss to Dunbar.

There are more games left but most divisional games in KY 2 are done. In KY 2 the top teams are:

HC, Dunbar, LexCath, Tates Creek, Lafayette, Sayre in that order.

LAXPower is useful but it is just a tool (like the RPI, etc.)

St. X has established itself as this years overall team to beat. Their 4 losses are to out of state schools.

Trinity's only loss has been to St. X.

Can HC really mix it up with the states 2 premiere high school programs? May 1st should give us that answer.

Great stuff but each game needs its own thread.
