Can a Mod change final score it was 13-7. Now to the details. All I have to say is, Congrats to Dixie for not giving up and to the Breds........:poop::poop::poop::poop:

 

Breds get the scoring started in the 2nd, Taylor Burkart leads off with a deep drive to the leftcenter gap for a double and scores on a double by the next batter, Morgan Martini, and she scores on a sac-fly by Molly Mertle. After 2 Breds 2-0.

 

The Breds get 4 in the 3rd, Michaela Ware leads the inning off with a triple to the leftcenter gap, next batter Casey Kohls singles driving in Martini, next batter Loren Zimmerman singles, next batter Kristen Schreiber doubles in Kohls and Zimmerman. Schreiber later scores on a Martini sac-fly. After 3 Breds up 6-0.

 

In the 4th Zimmerman knocks in another run with a single and the Breds are up 7-0 after 4, however the Breds would only get 3 more hits the rest of the game. Breds starter, Sarah Neace, is on cruise control only allowing a 1 out triple to Haley Schulte in the 2nd, but then then wheels fall off the bus.

 

Ellis McCarthy leads the 5th off with a double, one out later Erin Snyder singles, two walks later Neace is out and Taylor Burkart in. Burkart serves up a bases clearing triple to Mary Beth Odom and she later scores on a single by Julie Moreland. Breds are still up 7-5 after 5. Dixie goes quietly in the 6th, but disaster is looming.

 

Breds 3rd baseman Loren Zimmerman, who is having one hell of a game on "O" & "D", misplays a shot off the bat of Brooke Garrett, and her throw to 1st is off the mark. Then back to back doubles from Odom & Moreland and Burkart is out and enter Haley Meyers who is greeted with a triple off the bat of Schulte. 3 walks, a FC, & a single later Meyers out Sarah Neace back in. Anthoer error at short plates another and when it's all said an done Dixie sends 13 batters to the plate and scores 8.
