The St. X lacrosse team got their first win of the 2013 season by defeating Christian Academy 14-4 at Brother Thomas Moore Stadium on Thursday night.

 

The Tigers scored 68 seconds into the game courtesy of junior midfielder Nick King. The offense didn't stop there, the tigers led 4-1 at the end of the first quarter. The second half was back and forth as Christian Academy made it a 6-4 game as the third quarter ended. As it seemed Christian Academy had all the momentum, St.X had a strong 4th quarter going on an 8-0 run to end the game 14-4.

 

Scoring for the Tigers were Nick King- 5 goals, Brad Schickel- 2 goals, Zayne Smith- 2 goals, Alex Cherry- 1 goal, Leyland Gray- 1 goal, Russ Miller-1 goal, Collin Roppel- 1 goal, and Will Roshkowski- 1 goal. The defensive effort was led by Evan Caffee, Graham Weyland, Ben Grimes, Zac Sells and goalie Max Cartor.
