WARREN CENTRAL DRAGONS (28-6)

4th Region Champions

Head Coach: William Unseld

Look who’s back, back again — Warren Central. The 2004 state champions are making 13th trip to the Sweet Sixteen, which includes making it to Rupp Arena three out of the past four years and nine out of the past 12. William Unseld’s squad overcame a slow start (began season with a 7-4 record) and put together an impressive eight-game win streak before getting beat by Warren East for the second time during the season.

Warren Central has turned in some solid games during the postseason and won the 4th Region title by defeating Russell County, 56-48.

The Dragons are led by Chris Porter-Bunton, Nay Walker, Kaelon Dickerson and Byron Carver. Warren Central will enter Thursday’s, noon first round matchup with Montgomery County, riding an 11-game win streak.

The Dragons are 1-1 against teams that are participating in the Sweet Sixteen with a 67-64 victory over Graves County and a 78-75 loss to Johnson Central.

I'm not familiar with Warren Central but have seen past couple years that they have been good, do they have enough talent to make it past John Hardin, Montgomery County, Ballard to win the sweet 16?

Their first game against MoCo will be a challenging test . Can they win it all? Would be some huge upsets if they did. IMO.
