I don't think Highlands will be over looked, I just think people aren't going to believe in them fully until they beat some to the teams you listed. There were plenty of HHS people on here last year around this time saying the same thing and that didn't pan out so well.

 

Just a side note, NKY softball has always had and will have for at least the near future younger girls that are key members of softball teams, its really not a big deal to start all younger players. How many teams in the area do not relay on younger players?

 

Why is that? Its not like they leave early for the next level? I know we lost several girls that would of been Juniors this year that played varsity last year.

 

I think we have those 8 games along with 4 or 5 other single game matchups ( St. Henry, Holy Cross etc...) along with our obvious district matchups vs NCC that are going to truly guage whether there will be any discussion of us on a regional tournament! Its easy to have high Hopes at this time of year! Right?

Don't see Highlands being overlooked. They have been indentified as having the most travel players around and brought in a pitcher from another school. They are probably looking to be the top team outside of NDA from what i've read.
