Little early don't you think? Holy Cross's first scrimmage is March 4th, 2 weeks from first day of practice for them.

Yes it is early. I guess with today being the first day of practice, I'm getting anxious. In the sport of softball, they don't give them much time to prepare, do they?:scared:

They did until they moved up the start of the season last year by about two weeks or so. Really not sure why they did that. Season used to start sometime in the last week or two in March. Now I think it starts like sometime in the first week or so of March.

Who does Holy Cross scrimmage? And how is Holy Cross looking this year in your opinion?

Not sure on either.

 

HC doesn't have first practice till Monday. It all depends on pitching, have a couple really good girls in key positions and some some nice HS type girls that have played for several years. Coaching is a huge concern, have a guy that is way up in age who doesn't understand the game and doesn't seem willing to learn and more importanly doesn't understand HS girls. So it could go either way for them this year.

Oldham County Scrimmages:

 

March 8th - Oldham County at Carroll County

March 9th - Oldham County at Western Hills

I thought KY schools were only allowed two scrimmages per KHSAA rules. Has that changed? Just curious.

Yes you may only have two scrimmages. You can actually play your first game as early as March 6 but once you play a regular season game you cant play your scrimmages anymore. We practiced outside yesterday at the new field and don't scrimmage til mid March we have Ryle and Bourbon County.

sounds like 2 very nice scrimmages. Play the good teams right out oof the shoot, I like it!

you're right....I looked at the matchups and the KY schools have two, but the TN teams have 3, and a few have 4.

Madisonville North Hopkins is scrimmaging Butler Co 3/12.
