Nice win for Marion. Powell led Marion with 21 and Epps had 20. This was matchup of top 2 teams in region. E-town cut a 18 pt lead down to 10 in the 3rd but MC played their best m/m defense of the year and turned it into a blowout. Not sure how many Boley had but she clearly was bothered by Marions size. Next year will be start of what should be consecutive regional title runs for the young Lady Panthers but Marion showed them that this is their year.

No doubt about it, Marion is all they are advertised to be...

 

I've seen no defense as hostile as Marion, they absolutely never take a play off, and it seemed to scare some of our young ladies into submission. A really sound machine. Can't wait to see them again in the regional tournament. Hopefully our ladies took a lot from this game. They (Etown) showed that they could play from behind, but we just couldn't hold on.
