PLD took control right from the start and had a 14-0 lead before the Birds dented the scoring column.

 

Halftime score was 44 to 19, Birds battled in the second half to keep the dreaded running clock from happening.

 

Dunbar has a nice team - bad draw in round 1 (Scott County) to have them playing in the 5th place game.

 

HHS --- No Houliston (knees), No Turner (head injury), No Hergott (ACL) = No chance in this one.

Good reps for the sophomores though. Experience will help down the road.

 

Bailey Witte was chosen All Tourney team.

 

Next up for Birds Betsy Lane in the Pikeville Invitational next Thursday.

 

Turner and Houliston hopefully will be healthy and Soph Parker Harris hopefully returns as well.
