After a sluggish first half in which they trailed 16-11, the Birds put together a nice run in the second half to win going away. Very strange game to watch. HHS jumps out 10-5 and then only scores one point in the 2nd quarter and commits 9 fouls to Beechwood's 1 in the first half. Second half the fouls start to balance out and the Birds are able to tie the game and eventually take the lead for good. Officiating was very poor to say the least, but it is frosh basketball. Birds were able to empty the bench late. Next up is St. Henry on Friday in the first game of a tripleheader.

Last night starters were Kendall, New, Cain, Dougherty and Hergott at the 1 thru 5. Several others on the bench could start as well (Walkenhorst, Ziegler, Hebel and/or Mayhew) Imagine things will be in flux for some time as the coach sorts things out.
