bcfan24 Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 This Week 1. Pendleton Co. (13-2)-Huge game tonight, and I cannot wait till Jan. 24.... 2. Bishop Brossart (10-4)-Impressive victory against Scott, and now have a chance to claim the top spot.... 3. Mason Co. (12-5)-Tough loss against Scott. Co, but bounced back with an OT win against Campbell... 4. Clark Co. (11-5)-They have been at #4 every week, even with a tough loss in Morehead last night.... 5. Scott (12-5)-Two game losing streak, including a 21 point loss to Bishop Brossart... 6. Harrison Co. (8-7)-They will confuse you, they play well at times, and bad at times, when they are on, they are very tough.... 7. Bourbon Co. (9-6)-Sloppy win against Montgomery at home moves them up one, they do not play against until Tuesday night against Pendleton... 8. Campbell Co. (6-8)-3 game losing streak, lost a toughie to Mason.... 9. Montgomery Co. (11-5)-Barely bit a pitiful Paris team, but then almost beat Bourbon at home, the next four at home... 10. Silver Grove (8-6)-Again, no one else impresses me, but Bracken could be sneaking up for the 10th spot..... Last Week 1. Pendleton Co. (10-2)-Won the MCIT, not looking like they will fall from #1 anytime soon.... 2. Mason Co. (11-4)-Very impressive in the MCIT, should be a great game against Scott Co. in the Fieldhouse tommorrow night.... 3. Scott (11-3)-Won 8 in a row, and 10 out of their last 11, they are on fire, and deserving of the third spot.... 4. Clark Co. (9-4)-Lost a tough game against Madison Central, but beat a decent Bourbon team on Tuesday... 5. Bishop Brossart (8-4)-Lost two in a row, but they'll need to be no their "A" game against Scott next Tuesday night..... 6. Harrison Co. (7-6)-Win against Brossart after losing to BB in the MCIT.... 7. Campbell Co. (6-5)-Hard to move them down, after almost pulling the upset against Pendleton, they'll get a rematch tommorrow night.... 8. Bourbon Co. (7-6)-Really blew a chance to move up in the poll and in the minds of the rest of the 10th region if they had won Tuesday night against GRC...... 9. Montgomery Co. (11-4)-They cannot score, and really had an awful week, beating a bad at best Paris team 35-32 in OT..... 10. Silver Grove (7-5)-Again, no one else really impresses me in the 10th, they'll have to lose several times to move from 10.....
kyhoops#23 Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I think this week's poll is dead on. You could throw Campbell, Harrison, Bourbon, and Montgomery in a hat and pick em, as long as it was on a neutral court.
mcpapa Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I would rate the 10th almost exactly the same... 1. Pendleton County; until someone from the 10th beats them, they've got my vote. 2. Bishop Brossart; has a chance to claim the top spot tonight. The recent furor about the game site adds fuel to the fire. 3. Mason County; they've beaten my 4-7 picks already. 4. Clark County; lost to Mason in a close one on a neutral court during the holidays. The rematch against the Royals is on Feb. 10th at the Fieldhouse. 5. Scott; moves back after being thumped by Brossart. 6. Campbell County; ran out of steam in OT vs. Mason County on Tuesday. 7. Bourbon County; haven't been playing their best ball the last few times out. 8. Harrison County; has a 5-game win streak at home, but won't see the home court until Feb. 4th vs. Pendleton County. 9. Montgomery; they're a year or two away. 10. Silver Grove; things start to drop off here; don't look for anyone after Montgomery County to advance very far in the post-season.
