6 players will take to the floor tonight, the first of lasts for both our teams for Deming. Your thoughts?

Just to remind everyone they are:

Krista Smithers, Senior

Lacy Mitchell, Sophmore

Madison Fryman, 8th grader

Althea Thomas, 8th grader.

B. Hubbard, 8th grader

B. Hesler, 8th grader

The things they will have to avoid is fouls, sickness, & injuries.

Going to be a tough night for Deming, I'm afraid. Bourbon County looked really good last year when I saw them play. Might be a top five team in the region this year. I wish the Lady Devils the best!

Yeah it's gonna be a long hard haul for them, not just tonight but for the season.

I'm afraid you're right, Devilman.

Bourbon does have a strong team returning this year. This is going to be a rough one. That's for sure. Let's just pray for no injuries, illness, or foul trouble.

Good Luck Lady Devils.

As I too wish them the best.

Final score 75 Bourbon - 38 Deming. The Lady Devils fought hard. Shot 57% from the foul line, struggled with turnovers in the first half and "running out of gas." Bourbon played a good game and hit several 3 pointers. Their depth, experience and size was just too much. The only thing I hated to see was the full court pressure in the fourth quarter when you are 30 points up. Lady Devils played hard through every quarter, very proud of them. Nice passing and teamwork on the floor. Next game is Bracken County Tip-Off Classic on Thursday against Villa Madonna.
