napster Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 VERY ugly first half by both teams. Magoffin must have had 20 turnovers in the first half. But the Hornets turned it completely around in the second half with excellent offensive rebounding, passing, and pressure defense. The only thing that kept Magoffin from completely blowing BC out was #30 sophomore Justin Hollan for Breathitt. He was hitting from everywhere. I think he scored 26 points in the game.

I agree about Hollon, actually 34 points.
5wide Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I agree about Hollon, actually 34 points. If he's on he'd have to be around 30 point if he always shoots as much as he did when I watched them.

Last night he was making everything he put up..... but Breathitt always trailed in the game so Magoffin sort of sagged on defense, just making sure to not give up a lot of easy baskets. He dropped in several 3's. I think Breathitt's big man had 1 point. The other 3 point shooter may have hit one of 10. Hopefully these kids will build on this year's experiences and get back on track next year.
mach1 Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Congrats Hornets!!!! Sounds like Hollon is the one to stop for BC if he can be stopped.
