These are the games that make you really proud. Senior Night at Garnis Martin Field. Group of seniors that, frankly, were underwhelming as freshmen. Fought, and clawed, and struggled, and persevered during their tenure here. Have turned into good players and even better men. Played their guts out tonight. We actually outphysicaled Desales. Defense in particular, 3 man front line of Ferguson, Cecil and Sisk and linebackers Calbert, Smith and Mudd (Mudd had 18 tackles) were men possessed. Offense was businesslike; decided to run the ball up the middle and use Marcus Cosby for the great receiver he is. Up 20-16 with about 9 minutes left, dug deep and went on an 80 yard drive punctuated by a 9 yard, dragging-tacklers touchdown run by Calbert. Good job boys, and Coach Clark, for earning that first round home game.
