Pirates simply outman the Cardinals.

Pirate starters play one series in 2nd Half before subbing heavy with the running clock.

Pirates with 400 yards of offense, SC had about 50 total yards against the Belfry 1's. The Cards entered averaging over 40 points per game.

Belfry once again played their backup quarterback Keaton Taylor and he looked good. It is good for him to get these minutes. Belfry was just too much for Sheldon Clark in this one.

Sheldon Clark running back number 21 O'Connor went down in the first half with a knee or ankle injury and that hurt the Cards. I hope that young man is not seriously injured.

That left them with Lafferty as their only real threat offensively. Belfry pretty much shut them down with smothering defense.

I was impressed with the JV team for Belfry who played tough against the Card starters for almost the entire second half under a running clock. They had a long touchdown drive and they made Sheldon Clark earn the touchdown they scored. They also stopped the Cards on their 2 point conversion attempt.
