What does Lafayette need to do to improve in 2012? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Lafayette is the up and coming program of the Fayette County schools. Coach Hayden has laid a very good foundation and is earning a strong reputation locally.

Lafayette has plenty of athletic talent. Justin Carr (#53) lead the team in tackles last year and was on the All-Combine team at the NUC Lexington combine.

If the players continue to believe in Coach Hayden and his staff they should be a better team this year.

The challenge in all Fayette County schools is the hamstrung middle school program. Most players do not have the fundamentals mastered when the come in as freshmen. Lafayette HS has played host to some of the KYMSFA state championship games the last 2 years. Hopefully, the administration(s) in Fayette will take note of the value of solid MS programs that play all-out and not the very limited rule-set and limited number of games they do now.

Lexington has problems from the ground up... Starting at the pee wee level, all the way up to UK... Problem is, football is viewed more as a social event than a competitive sport. It kills me year in and year out. I like Coach Hayden, he should put another competitive team on the field this year. I'm a little biased, but they'll have their hands full with Tates Creek this year... ;-)
