Whitley comes back and takes the second game of the series, and by virtue of the coin flip gets the series win. The is somewhat humorous since it was Coach Ledington of Corbin who lobbied for the coin flip instead of playing a third game. Jackson of Whitley went the whole way for the Colonels and used some trickerations to get two key outs on Corbin in the 7th inning. This win was made even more interesting by the fact that Whitley only dressed 13 players due to injuries and other issues, in fact they dressed a trainer, and former player who had given up baseball in favor of track and field, so they could have a JV game. Out of the 13 dressed 7 are freshmen. Leddington stated to his team after the game "this is the worst loss in the history of Corbin baseball" With Kyle Adams at the helm for Whitley County and the way his team plays, when he has time instill his game values they will be winning and winning on a scale which may not have been seen at Whitley in baseball for several years and the type of loss Corbin may have to get used to. Whitley only had 6 of 9 starters on the field for the game and still found a way to win...Congrats to the Colonels for a GREAT effort!

1. A big win for the Colonels.

2. A coin toss is ridiculous, so Ledington got what he deserved if he advocated for it.

3. Corbin has too many good players who gave up baseball for one reason or another.

4. Coach Adams has Whitley going in the right direction.
