April 9, 201214 yr After a rough start I'm hoping the Marlins can get going. Did see some encouraging signs on Saturday and Sunday as the bats got going better. First matchup is Anibal Sanchez vs Cole Hamels. It's on MLB Network...I'll unfortunately only be listening with my At Bat app.
April 9, 201214 yr Author Listening to Ozzie right now. He is talking about his Castro incident. Sounds very sincere.
April 9, 201214 yr Author Up 1-0 quick on Hanley's RBI scoring Reyes after a double steal by Reyes and Boni.
April 9, 201214 yr Author Hanley with a lead off double and then knocked in by Gaby to go up 2-0. Good start against Hamels so far.
April 9, 201214 yr Okay, so the Phillies lineup is dreadful with Howard and Utley both missing....Just terrible.
April 9, 201214 yr Author Okay, so the Phillies lineup is dreadful with Howard and Utley both missing....Just terrible. :lol:Definitely. Though I'm not sure the shell of both returning will help. Hamels only lasted 5.1 innings. Gave up four runs and three were earned. The fourth was the result of what I hear is a hilarious error.
April 9, 201214 yr Had a phone call but the Marlins went up 5-0 while I was away!!! Infante hit another HR.
April 9, 201214 yr Author Yes What was the deal with the Hamels' error. Was nobody even close? To me it didn't sound like Hamels' was all that off...just the Marlins were hitting him well. Obviously I might be listening with a little bias.

Obviously I might be listening with a little bias. Mayberry came rushing in to field the ball, when clearly it was the pitchers ball. Hammels just turned and threw without looking. The 2nd baseman clearly thought that Mayberry was going to stay at home, and didn't break over to cover the bag in time. Hammels threw the ball pretty well I thought.

So more a miscommunication error than Hamels fault then. It definitely "sounded" like he was pitching well.
