  1. It was two exciting years for the program, especially after going 0-20 the first two varisty years. It wasnt an arrogance it was more hopefullness that they were heading in the right direction. The walton program was started the right way from the bottom up and i think that is one reason for their success. Where as brossart started from the top down and has hit a major speed bump. As for 2A i wont blame the down turn on that alone but a brand new program like that the move to 2A knocked the wind out of the progam in a way. Our boys who were on the fence about playing football, seeing that the level of competion made a dramatic jump got scared and didnt play.
  2. Paul was the middle school coach last year. I bet he takes this promotion in stride and produces a season that builds some excitment heading into next season when Brossart will be back in 1A. While it looks like a mess, things are better than they seem and things are looking up at Brossart all around.
  3. Heard a new coach has been hired, Rob Howard. Has anybody on this post worked with him or know about him?
  4. I don't think they will have to play a JV schedule after this year, IMO this would be the year to do that, although I'm glad they aren't. Like you said survive this year and year build intrest and promote the program since it will be back in 1A next year. Getting moved to 2A almost killed the progrom but its good to see there is still life and I'm looking forward to finding out who the new coach is going to be!
