  1. Congratulations to the Campbell County JV team on winning the 38th District title. Camels beat Brossart 55-14 in the semi-finals and went on to defeat Calvary Christian 57-25 in the championship game. Big things to come for these Camels! Congrats to these boys and head coach Jerry Gross and assistant coach Dave Orth.

The Breds came out of the gate with 8 quick points but Campbell County rebounded by taking a 17-11 lead after the first quarter. Offensively the Camels continued to hit shots with Senior Cole Hegyi and Senior Garren Bertsch combining for 12 of the teams 18 points in the second quarter. Campbell County went into the locker room with a 35-26 lead over NewCath. In the third quarter, Bertsch continued his offensive domination by adding 11 points including going 3 for 3 from the free throw line. NewCath came back with strong defense in the 4th quarter but the Camels proved to be to much. Bertsch lead all scorers with a game high 31 points. Cole Hegyi also added 23 points. NewCath was lead by guard Brennan Hall with 26 points.

Campbell was down as much 11 in the third quarter but they clawed their way back in the 4th quarter and eventually tied the game at 59 with 40 seconds remaining. After a Colonel turnover Campbell County Junior guard Tanner Clos drove to the basket ultimately getting fouled. Clos hit 2 free throws with 5 seconds remaining sealing the win for the Camels. Dixie's Meyer lead all scorers with 22. Campbell County was lead by Senior forward Cole Hegyi with 14, Senior forward Garren Bertsch and Cos each scoring 13.
  12. Just to clear up a few things...CC did not get a T for 6 men on the court. They received 4 technicals (Marlow, Bertsch, Hegyi and Coach) and 1 intentional foul on Hegyi. Also, Bertsch's technical was for brushing the kid. Ref said he threw an elbow which he did not.
  13. Campbell County 76 Holy Cross 52 at CC Campbell County got out to an early lead and never looked back defeating Holy Cross 76-52. Camels were led by Senior forward Garren Bertsch with 27 points, 7 rebounds and went 15 of 16 from the free throw line. Senior forward Cole Hegyi also contributed to the win by adding 20.
  14. Campbell County got off to a strong start at the Harrison County Holiday Classic by defeating Frankfort 84-40. Leading scorers for Campbell were Senior Cole Hegyi with 19 and Senior Garden Bertsch had 17
  15. Congratulations to the Campbell County boys Freshman team for winning the 10th region tournament tonight. They capped off a 21-0 season by defeating Montgomery Co 55-25. Congrats to Coach Brett White and the rest of the Camels.
