Don't know Coach Mefford. But you are definitely right in hoping the other one rides off into the sunset.

Excellent choice and role model. Great Coach and person. His players love him. His new players will learn how to play the game because he is awesome with X's and O's. They will also grow up to be better men by being around Coach Cook.

It does sound like a bad situation. Montgomery County blew it when Phil Rison wasn"t made the superintendent. Many very good Coaches and administrators have been let go by the new administration unfortunately. But people that are close to the basketball situation seem to know that things were done for surprisingly the right reasons with Basketball. Happy will get them back on track. Happy will run a first class program!

This is not a good option for a program. Heard they (Montgomery County) had their Basketball banquet the other night and out of all the freshman, JV and Varsity teams, only 9 kids showed up. What does that say? If your players aren't very fond of you, there are issues.

Without a doubt, Montgomery got the best out of their hire. If Happy stays for a while, he will do great things.

Awesome news for Adam. He is such a great young man.
