Kayari Suganuma transferring to Notre Dame Academy

Just curious having some experience If the Student Visa is issued and managed on the federal level - State Department, Homeland Security, Department of Education - how does the local school board have authority to deny the Visa? And its hard to understand how the rules differ between Boone Co. and NDA when both are under the KY Department of Education and KHSAA??? -

KHSAA: Facemasks Required For the 2018 Season
BabyD22 replied to RCC9's topic in KY Softball (High School)
Technology overall has improved so much that it has become dangerous in some cases of misplayed balls. It has and will always be an inherent danger of the sport, but why would we not use technology to protect from serious injury as well? I have had two players, both excellent defenders, take balls to the face - one broke an orbital socket and one had several teeth knocked out. Less we forget how important vanity still is to teenage girls. Check out this video: I was at this game in Tampa sitting right behind first base dugout when it happened - it sounded like someone dropped a watermelon off the 10th floor of the hotel into the parking lot. Gruesome and very similar to the Aroldis Chapman comebacker a few years ago. Accidents and injuries will continue to happen and be part of the game. And its the right of each player and/or parent to decide whether or not to wear a facemask. But if you are not wearing one because of what a college coach or others may think, then you need to re-evaluate your decision making process. I am glad the UK pitcher who started to where a facemask several years ago broke the macho mold of thinking and brought this issue to the forefront. Science and technology are available and can make the game safer. We have vaccinations available to protect our daughters (and sons) - polio, TB, HPV, etc. As parents, why would we ever choose to take on inherent risks that can be prevented? But again, to each their own. -
Now that Dixie has announced Sarah to replace Roddy, who are the candidates to replace Denny at NCC? I'm guessing LB has some insight.

Newport Catholic's Denny Barnes 200th Career Win

Congratulations Denny...one of the good guys and class acts in the game. -
You can blame the AD for this debacle, and many of the other issues running out of Latonia.

Villa Madonna sets new school record
BabyD22 replied to WhatsBestForTheGirls's topic in KY Girls Soccer (High School)
The game was canceled on Tuesday, a day prior. District seeding games had to be played by yesterday - think ADs called this one to get results and District tournament schedule out. VMA was to play Boone on Wednesday, Ludlow on Thursday and Calvary on Friday - 6 games in 8 days because of the rainouts, 11 in the last 18. And 2 more games were to be made up but no refs were available. Life happens. I wish they would have played Boone prior to districts - it would definitely help prepare them for Dixie and St. Henry again. And yes, Ludlow played well. Crawford and Warndorf are good athletes. Congrats to them. -
I got a pretty good idea on that one

This all starts and ends with the AD meetings and their rotation schedule signed by them. And you can't blame the new ADs because some of the rotations were signed by prior ADs years back
