1. She is probably about 6'1".........would guess around 150. Panther Pride can give u a more precise description. Will be looking for you Sunday
2. Wednesday, March 27 @ Green Co. Nelson Co. 26-5 vs. North Hardin 24-7 Larue Co. 25-5 vs. Adair Co. 24-8 Thursday, March 28th @ Green Co. Etown 22-7 vs. Caverna 16-144 Marion Co. 32-0 vs. Washington Co. 16-13 Will not have a rematch of Marion Co. and Etown this year after meeting in finals previous 4 seasons. Good Luck to all teams.
3. Exactly!! Amazing scorer but I know from watching both top kids play numerous times who is better all around player.
4. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure Cann is a jr which would make her not eligible to tryout for team. Just shocking that kid can get at large invite to try out for KY team and not be selected for their all region team. Sounds political......just my opinion.
5. 1St-Paducah Tilghman 2nd-Henderson Co. 3rd-Owensboro Catholic 4th-Bowling Green 5th-Marion Co. 6th-Mercy 7th-Manual 8th-Anderson Co. 9th-Notre Dame 10th-Montgomery Co. 11th-Dunbar 12th-Lincoln Co. 13th-Clay Co. 14th-Letcher Co. Central 15th-Sheldon Clark 16th-Ashland
6. Congrats to these young ladies on such a prestigious honor! Being selected as one of the Top 24 players in America is amazing. Kentucky has only had 2 players before female players before them to receive such recognition. Makes it even more special that it is 2 from same class. How sweet would it be if these girls met in fina state? Does this tighten up the race for Ms. Basketball, in which I felt Greenwell had a slight advantage before?
7. Great research and thx for info Frank James! Now about next year, IMO I think Etown will be the top gun in the 5th followed by Larue. Both teams will have dynamic duos of Boley and Cleaver for Etown, and Brown and Brewer for Larue. However, Etown will have better guards and that's why I would give them the edge. If a lot of Hodgenvilles talent hadn't of bolted to neighboring Etown, no doubt Larue would be team to beat hands down for next several yrs. But that's another topic but i'm sure Panther Pride would have to agree that I do have a very valid point lol. Just teasin Panther. Gd luck to all the teams in district and regional play!!
8. Congrats to these young ladies and coaches on an amazin feat!
9. Nice win for Marion. Powell led Marion with 21 and Epps had 20. This was matchup of top 2 teams in region. E-town cut a 18 pt lead down to 10 in the 3rd but MC played their best m/m defense of the year and turned it into a blowout. Not sure how many Boley had but she clearly was bothered by Marions size. Next year will be start of what should be consecutive regional title runs for the young Lady Panthers but Marion showed them that this is their year.
10. Panther you will get an opportunity to see where your team stands on Thursday as they travel to Marion Co. I will go out on a limb and say Marion by 20+. Coach Mudd is a great coach but Marion is too experienced and has Epps and Goodin-Rogers. In my opinion that will be too much for the young etown team to handle. This could be a preview of the regional finals .
11. I did see an ihigh guy in the gym tonight. Would expect him to be there tomorrow as well.
12. Are there any rated teams slated to play one another this week? If so, who is playing, when and where? AUTISM CLASSIC in Lebanon, KY on Saturday, Jan.19th Manual vs. Bowling Green 4:45 Mercy vs. Marion 6:30
13. Manual came to play and led Marion 40-34 @ the half. Curry had at least 17. Powell and Epps kept Marion County in reach by carrying them offensively. 2nd half belonged to Marion County pretty much from the start. Manuals emotionally play from first half didn't carry over and Marion surged ahead by by double figures, but Manual wouldn't go away. Final score doesn't tell how close game was up until final 3 minutes as Marion hit free throws to seal the deal. Maybe Manual shouldn't have played that Big Green Tractor song when Marion came out haha. But Marion is CLEARLY the better team this year.
