  1. From what I understand, Jeff Trunick is the Varsity Coach at Dayton.
  2. How about the KHSAA Classifies Basketball? Kentucky is only one of two states that is not classified. Makes more sense than to combine schools. Then NCC would just compete with Holy Cross, St. Henry, etc. Why are you not brining up Ludlow? Looks like Dixie and St. Henry are locks every year too! Same scenerio. Classify Basketball. The All A Classic was created for the small Public Schools. And we see where that has gone.
  3. The whole point is Bellevue/Ludlow were playing for the Conference Championship (or at least a share of it) and Ludlow decided to play a meaningless game instead. Granted the game was not played, but it was just the point that Ludlow didn't want to play for a share of the Conference or a least give Bellevue the opportunity. If Bellevue would have beat Ludlow in the All A, do you really think Ludlow would agree to be Co-Champs. NO WAY!
  4. Bellevue was missing two starters in the All A Classic. So let me get this straight, Ludlow should play Dayton in a game that means nothing, verses playing Bellevue who has a shot at Co-Champs. Lol, seems reasonable. Bellevue was 8-1 in the Conference. Congrats to Ludlow, they were Conference Champs without playing two of their tougher games.
  5. Sorry, meant the Bellevue/Ludlow game was for the Conference Championship.
  6. Well considering Bellevue beat Dayton Twice in Conference play, not sure your arguement makes much sense. The Conference Championship came down to the Bellevue/Dayton Game and Ludlow elected not to want to play that game. They chose to reschedule the Dayton game instead of the Bellevue. No one can deny the fact that game decided the Conference Championship, not the Dayton game.
  7. You can't just use the All A Classic game for a Conference Game after the fact. Also, doesn't it seem odd to reschedule a game that was supposed to be played on Friday gets rescheduled before the Thursday game? Everyone in Division 3 Conference knew the only game that meant anything was the Bellevue/Ludlow game. Ludlow didn't want to play Bellevue again or they would have rescheduled. They scheduled the Dayton game because even if Ludlow lost, Ludlow would be Conference Champs due to head to head when they played Bellevue the one Conference Game. Per KHSAA, the order the games have to played are District Seeding, Conference, then any other game.
  8. If they would classify basketball, this wouldn't be an issue. The All 'A' Classic is no longer a small school tournament. So what does a small school have to play for?
  9. First of all, NCC could have beat Highlands by 50, but instead Coach Dawn had his players pull the ball out every time they got it in the fourth quarter and made his players run an offense to work for a good shot. That is one thing that Highlands could have done in the Bellevue game. As soon as Highlands got the ball, they were off and running to get layups. Do not understand why you think the 'beatdowns' would stop if they seeded? This is a prime expample as to why basketball needs to be classified or the All 'A' Classic turns into a true small school tournament elimating 2A schools.
  10. The score was Augusta 57 Bellevue 53 in overtime. Looks like KHSAA had the score wrong. It was a great game to watch.
  11. They will be very young. I believe they had 6 Seniors last year. They will lose their best player in Megan Arnzen along with 3 other starting Seniors. Looks to be a rebuilding year for the Tigers.
  12. Several points here. Also, after a little investigating on KHSAA the girls program has been very successful over the last few seasons, I think the best record was .500 or a little below. Call me crazy but if he can't be successful as a girls coach, what would make him successful as the boys' coach. It seems that you didn't do all your research. After seeing this I went back and looked and from what I can tell, the girls have a much tougher schedule than the boys did the last three years. This year the girls play Campbell twice, Dixie, Holy Cross, Brossart, Knoxx Central. That looks like a pretty tough schedule, and to add to that, I believe their best player Arnzen was hurt and didn't play in the final 10 games. Also, I didn't know you had to win as a girls coach to be successful enough to coach boys????? This why, I wonder why Bellevue people automatically think Bellevue people should get the coaching jobs. I know they have the Michigan wings, but wasn't aware they had the Michigan mentality. Well lets see, they've had 7 coaches the last 11 years not hiring a Bellevue person. Doesn't look like that is working!
  13. The rumor I heard was Coach Sorrell didn't get the job. Can anyone confirm? He seemed like the obvious canidate to me.
  14. What about Doug Miller being the next head coach? I know his Freshman teams were very successful. I think he would be a great fit.
