Would like to have seen Meyer(Franklin Co.) and Rogers(Dunbar) make it. Good luck to the team, Indiana looks like they have a good team.

Quick Question (about All District and Region selections)
jjh replied to jjh's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Thanks for the responses guys. -
A friend of mine and I were discussing the the district and regional tournaments. We got to talking about the all district and all region teams and we didn't know the answer to a question concerning this subject. Does anyone know if all-district and all-region teams are elected based on play throughout the year or solely on play during the district or region tourney only? Thoughts?

Congrats to Henry Clay.

Tates Creek has gotten better throughout the year, great job by Coach Breeden. I think they'll give Lex. Catholic all they want. At the beginning of the season I thought Dunbar would be a contender for region, they just seemed to be up and down all season. Good luck Tates Creek.

Tough draw for Dunbar and Tates Creek
jjh replied to Log Mountain Boy's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I think Lex. Catholic will probably make it out. Tates Creek seems to be playing better of late as well. -
When will the district tourney pairings be announced for the teams in the 11th region?
-
Hopefully the Dunbar/Mason Co. game will be rescheduled.

Coach Davis-Madisonville North Hopkins
jjh replied to rightnowrighthere's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I think the hope is for Marty Cline to take over the boys' coaching position eventually. He is a good coach and had some success at UHA. He is currently the coaching the Lady Maroons. -
Does High School Need a 45 second shot clock?
jjh posted a topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Does anybody ever think we see a shot clock in high school? I think a 45 second shot clock would be good. Ideas? -
I don't have a kid on this team. I go to different games in the area from time to time and was just making an observation. I thought it might be fun to try this message board this year to read people's opinion about different games, but I realize now I was wrong. The first post I make and I am accused of favoritism. I thought that was what message boards were for, was a place to state an opinion. I'm not promoting anyone for more playing time, I was just commenting on what I saw. It wasn't my intent to place the entire blame on the coach or his staff; I think everyone is very appreciative of the time and hard work these coaches put in each year. In all fairness, Dunbar had a few shots rim out on them in the last few minutes. Coaches get criticized and second guessed all the time; it is part of the job. My point was that they did blow a big lead and I just thought a timeout would have been beneficial to calm the team down and take some of the air out of the crowd. Good luck to Dunbar, they have a lot of talent but play in a tough region.

Dunbar has got the talent, but its a shame they dont have a coach that knows how to handle the talent he has.....u have two of maybe the best guards in the state and a very athletic front line. I've noticed the tall kid, #32 is more productive in the mins he gets than the players that play the whole game...........seems to me he should be on the floor more,,,
